Globaltrack: Control Room Internship Programme 2025 / 2026
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our existing team as a Telematics Control Room Intern. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and managing our clients' assets using our cutting-edge tracking and monitoring systems.
Responsibilities:·
- Real-time Monitoring: Monitor and track the location, status, fuel consumption and performance of vehicles, drivers and cargo using our telematics systems.
- Identify and address any anomalies, deviations, or issues that arise during the tracking process.
- Incident Management: Respond promptly to any alarms, alerts, or emergency situations that occur with client’s assets.
- Initiate appropriate actions, escalation to the relevant inter-company department.
- Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service by promptly responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and offering technical support to clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and a deep understanding of their needs.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze data and generate reports to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for operational improvements.
- Prepare accurate and detailed reports on incidents, system performance, and customer interactions.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, sales, and technical support, to ensure seamless communication and efficient resolution of customer issues.
- Share insights and recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of our tracking systems and overall customer experience.
- System Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of our inhouse developed systems, including software updates, configuration changes, and hardware monitoring.
- Escalate technical issues to the appropriate teams and follow up until resolution.
Requirements:
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in related field.
- Understanding telematics systems, GPS tracking tools, or similar technologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Must be able to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Advantageous: Previous experience in a customer service or monitoring role, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry would be an advantage.
